Executive general manager of Boral ACM, John Douglas, announced that following the pilot program in NSW/ACT, Six Sigma would be progressively rolled out to Victoria/Tasmania, then the western states and, finally, Queensland/Northern Territory, over the next eighteen months. John said that Six Sigma in New South Wales was proving successful in achieving significant improvement and engaging people within the organisation. “It is my expectation that we will achieve significant cost reductions but, equally importantly, a change in the culture of the way we work.”
